- Create a new mail merge document in word with "mailings" and "email
- Add existing contacts by clicking "use an existing list"
- Import the .csv file from REDCap or R
- Click "rules" then add "If...Then...Else..."
- Pick the field you want to filter on (e.g., "problembased_learning") and show response on the basis of whether they said 1 = yes, 2 = no, 3 = I don't know what this is.
- I created a whole lot of 1's under the first heading, then copied and pasted them into the other two headings, changed the view to "toggle fields" (alt/option+F9), and changed the numbers to 2 and 3 under the other headings. Revert back to normal fields (alt/option + F9) to see the results
